How's the body? My '06 was starting to rust when I sold it and that was 9 years go! (To say nothing of the brake and fuel lines I replaced on the way!)

In 2021, I replaced the head gaskets (plus new factory head bolts, fuel system banjo seals, etc) in Lil Red for about $300. I added ARP studs, a new water pump and new injectors to my 2001 GMC head gasket project, also in 2021. That wound up costing about $3300 total, if I remember correctly.Quote:

The LB7 reman injectors I installed in my 2001 GMC came from Kennedy - $2200, if I remember correctly, was the cost for 8. I also installed new injector fuel lines at a cost of about $650 and ARP studs for $650 - plus misc consumables. I'd have to dig out the receipts to be accurate on prices, but this is in the ball park. I actually wound up not installing the new water pump, so that cost isn't figured in. I also could have cleaned and re-used the fuel lines if this had been a budget squeaker - saving another $650.Quote:

Im at around $12k for it all,,Chevy wants $10k just to replace the head gaskets..there doesnt seem to be alot of chatter on guys with older duramaxs
