VIN check for '04 GMC LB7 ZF6 ?

There's an '04 GMC Sierra 2500HD LB7 ZF6 for sale about 65 miles from here. It's for sale by a small used car dealer, and has 118,000 miles on it.

VIN is 1GTHK291X4E113399

I took a trip yesterday to see the truck, and overall had a good feeling about it. The dealer was traveling in AZ, and would up driving this back to PA. There is zero rust, has brand new batteries and tires, runs very smooth and I really enjoyed the hand shaker, which I would call a pivotal reason for looking at this particular truck. Not knocking the Allison in any way, I just prefer a manual...

I would have taken the Sierra home yesterday, but I'm hung up on the LB7. The warranty period for the fuel injectors is almost up, and this dealer doesn't know the truck's service history. Could someone help me out here?

Okay, I called a local GMC dealership this morning. The service writer told me that the fuel injectors were replaced at 68,000 miles in 2007.

Any opinions?

Walk away from the LB7. Read numerous and many threads here about first-hand testimony of the inevitable problems that are inherent to this engine. One replacement means another is not far behind, or that was my experience. After three sets on one engine (and I am not a handy wrencher as are some here), I traded it off at 98k miles. You ask for opinion. $0.02.

I have a 2007 LBZ 2500 crew cab for sale. Not advertised or priced but I am ready for another machine. Book value for cloth seat, etc with 5000 miles. Yes, five thousand. It's still new and showroom clean. Never driven in the rain. The dash needs wiping down from some light settled dust. PM if interested.
