what would cause this with my 700r4

What would cause this? The Guy at the transmission shop has been working on them for 25 years and hasn't seen that before
But I did learn also my rear planet bearing was cracked
the pump had some cracks also. He said that my transmission wouldn't have made it to Montana Monday. And new flex plate and transfer case seals

........and a 1600 stall convertor and gas govenor was in it

All for $1671 including tax


The good is that i have overdrive again to offset my 3.73 gears
