Being that this site is devoted to GM not much conversion talk except to DuraMax, however a search will give you some other conversion info.
Put one in my 93 k3500. I won't go back to a 6.5 again. Lots of power & no overheating. Check out www.TDR1.com They have a forum for conversions. I did my own. It was a good size project, but well worth it. You can buy most parts needed.

did you have to go with a staight axle or did you keep the independent front??
I kept the IFS. I lifted the body 1.25"
I did a 3" body lift on mine. seemed to solve a few other problems at the same time. Not a bad job if you have the tools a little knowledge.
And of course it costs more and takes longer than origionally planned. lol
Did you guy's use the 4L80E auto or did you use a 5sp.

Where are the main clearance issues (height) for the Cummins 6BT?? Is it out front at the pully end of head to hood area?? The 4BT is a 2 cyl shorter version of the 6BT... would you have the same trouble with the 4BT??? Body lift needed??
Too many variables. Autoworld mounts can be done with no body lift even on a 6bt. I built my own ( mainly cause Im cheap) and they are taller than thiers. I actually wanted a little lift so my conversion was done with this in mind. The body lift just makes everything from accessory drives to exhaust easier. Many have done it with none at all.
These motors are tall. Much taller than the chevy v8's gas or diesel.
Depending on if you are 2wd or 4wd etc.. you can mount the motor higher or lower in the frame.
