Arrow 2006 LBZ black smoke on hard acceleration

    Hello friends,
I have noticed that my 2006 LBZ will smoke black under hard acceleration, such as when the Allison kicks down while passing all them Fords . Its not a real severe smoke, but is noticable. It concerns me, since my LLY or LB7 never did smoke under hard acceleration. The truck runs/idles great all the time, but do you feel there is a need to have my injector balance rates checked, or did GM just "turn up the fuel" on these '06 models to acheive the 360 HP? Thank you!

no smoke outta mine, just an annoying delay on "flooring it" even stepping on accel. gradually yields nothing i can see outta exhaust.

    Default Smoke on acceleration

I too have noticed my 06 LBZ smokes a lot under hard acceleration. Way more than the 01 LB7 ever did even with and edge hot juice box. Also way more than the 05 LLY ever did.

Is it normal for the LBZ to smoke so much under acceleration. all else seems normal.

I guess if yours does it also.... I am hoping its just the nature of the LBZ motor. (I hope)

Catalyst (back psi) and EGR are the likely key contributors.
