I shopped around and got the best deal from

www.ewinch.com

Low price compared to retail dealers
Free shipping
Had it the next day! ordered on Thursday, didn't expect it until Tuesday after labor day. It was on my porch Friday when I got home from work!

Real cool service.

I got the 4700 model.

best regards,

www.e-winches.com

Put in the hyphen. The one without the hyphen is something else.

Sorry, some of these web site guys are tricky

Thanks for the site. I bought a Warn 3.0Ci on Ebay for $210.00. It normally is around $400. I think ShercoSales was the seller. They are honest to do business with, too.

Sounds like a great deal, I am still a little leery of Ebay. Guess I have to get with the program! I am looking for H2 takeoff wheels and tires. LOL

I will keep on the lookout for some. If I find any, I will post here or you can send me your email at txdoc2@removethisAOL.com

If you see a seller on Ebay with 2000 items sold and 99% positive feedback, then you are in pretty good shape. If someone has a "deal" that is too good to be true and 6 sales and 5 negatives....

A friend emailed this to me:
"A friend told me of a set for sale in the Indianapolis Star. $800 for both wheels and tires (seems cheap to me). I can find the phone # for you if you like."

Let me know if you need it.

Thanks TXDoc, I went by my Chevy dealer this morning to see about replacing a leaking Delco battery under warranty. They will change it out free and clean up/paint the mess. Couldn't do it today as they were all booked up. Made an appointment for 17th.

Meantime went in and talked to the Sales Manager, who I just deal with now directly on new purchases, asked him if they had many Hummer takeoff wheel swaps. He said they have about 1-2 a month that the dealership does, but he knows several customers who just took it to a tire shop and did the swap there. He said he would let me know the next set that came up for take off and I could work a deal with the new buyer or with the dealer. He also gave me the name of 2 nearby tire shops where he knows people have gone to do the swap. I will go by there and put my name in for the next set that becomes available.

Appreciate your help and your friends advice about the set in INDY. Sounds like a good deal.

Anyway, this way I can look at them before I buy them and hopefully pick and choose maybe if I am lucky. While at the dealers I walked over and looked at the Hummer's. There must be 2-3 different wheel designs that come with these puppies. Man those tire are "BIG", should be sweet on the old 2001 2500 HD.

Hopefully I will get a call this month and see what happens.

Thanks again for you help on the winch and the Hummer wheels. Love this site!

Thumbs up

Okay, I got two last bits of info to pass on:

1st by email-"TeamQuadGreen got a set for cheap, but without the tires. Email him at Zillasona650@aol.com and see where he got them. They were dirt cheap."
2nd-"I have the tires e mail me mthomas141@hotmail.com"

Good luck on the trasformation.
