    Question

Is anyone aware of any manufacturer's plans to produce a compact diesel pickup truck? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Detroit Diesel which is now owned by Chrysler, is supposed to be developing a 4 liter diesel to go in the Dakota and possibly a new smaller version of the Durango.not sure whether it will be a V6 or inline.
Also International is working on a 6 cylinder version of the Ford Powerstroke,it is around 5.5 liters and they are experimenting with electronic valve timing, read no camshaft. This engine is probably 5 to 10 years from production if ever.

    Cool

Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Isuzu all build 'em, just not for the US market. I'm not sure but what Ford & GM have 'em in overseas markets too.
