    Hello,
Sometimes when I turn on the lights the only thing that will come on is the headlights. You can turn them off and on a time or to and the rest will come on. My question is, where would be the problem be? This is the kind of problem that is a lot of fun, only happen when you can't check it out. When they are working, there is nothing to check. This is happening to a 93 3500 Chevy. Just a hoping someone could tell me what it could possible be.

    Thanks,

    Harv

I assume when you say nothing else happens it is the instrument lights you are missing. If this is the case remove the head light switch and take it apart. You will find 2 small dog bone like rollers that sweep across the printed circuit board that is the resistor for the instrument dimmer control. Polish the bones and the printed circuit foil and that should solve it.

The switch comes apart with several plastic trigers. Watch as you remove the push button assembly as the spring in there is tricky to reinstall if you did not see how it came out.
