    Exclamation

I just purchased a 96 6.5 XC LB 4*4 2500 and the trans is toast. I pulled the trans and found out it is a GM Goodwrench remanufactured unit. I did some research and noted it was built 09-01-2001 and is still in warranty (3 yr 50K mile)- but I have to come up with a checkstub, reciept or anything proving it was purchased between 9-01 and 6-02 or so and the local dealership will warranty it for me. I have tried to contact the previous owner to no avail. The vehicle was serviced in 9-01 in Alaska but the parts department can't -easily- find a reciept for the trans sale.

    Input please!
    Thanks

    Thumbs up

Ask for the"top man",stare him in the eyes(if he can look at yours),and tell him it was bought and installed before it was made.Other than that, call around to other dealers and explain your situation.Don`t be a butthead, but be stern.Tell the dealer where purchased to get off their seat and stand behind their product they so gladly recieved money for less than 3years ago.
