Straight pipe experiment
Decided to cut out the old 'Electrolux' muffler from the 2001 LB7 and replace it with a chunk of 3.5" straight pipe.
Sound at idle and cruise is barely louder than stock. Under full acceleration, there is a nice throaty exhaust note, but nothing that draws attention to the truck.
Wondering if I'll see any mileage gain...the 'experiment' will begin next week!

Admittedly, I haven't heard the drone with a trailer in tow. I have a feeling it might get tiresome under those conditions.
As stated, an experiment...a 4" complete system will likely follow.
