    Default Pyrometer Problem

When I was pulling my fifth wheel this weekend, the pryometer gauge all of a sudden won't go past 200 degrees. All wires are on correctly, no breaks in the line. Does this sound like a gauge problem or a probe problem?

I guesss it may depend on the brand, but I had the same problem with an Isspro. The gauge was pegged on 100 degrees. Unfortunately, I wasted my money buying a new thermocouple (which I'll have for future use), because it turned out to be the electronic box that the thermocouple cable connects to. Naturally, I had to buy a new gauge to get one of these. Since then, I tested the old guage with the original thermocouple (but new box) and everything is fine.
