My stock '82 model fan and clutch work great, now that I've tweaked the spring that engages the clutch.
I just the bent the tab on the spring a bit and now the clutch engages much, much sooner. In fact, I may need to tweak it back the other way a tiny bit. It now engages even after just idling in traffic with the a/c on. After driving a mile or so, it kicks back out. Keeps my temps right on the money all the time now.
I'll probably just leave it where it is....
