Default Thinking of going to a cummins conversion

Been researching and found the 6L Dodge Cummins Turbo bolts up to most GM trannies. I need input from those who are in the know on best way to intergrate this motor into a late 90's GMC 4wd burb. I'm considering a stand alone tranny controller and will not need the GM 6.5td ecm w/conversion.

I already have a great running recently rebuilt 94 6L turbo cummins motor.

    Any thoughts?

    Smile

I think it is longer and heavier than the GM mills and maybe the radiator might have to be moved forwad, but I'm sure someone has done one. Sounds like a fun project.

    Default Perhaps a HUMMER 6500

Stuffing the cummins in a late model GM may not be worth the effort since I read herein about a HUMMER 6500.

I'll use the cummins in something else maybe in a much older dodge, or GM product.
