Default Rebuilt IP on, new injectors on,knocking and rough idle on

Where to start....Before I take it back to the shop that did the install of the IP and injectors which will take a week. What can I troubleshoot till then? Injector lines rubbing? Air? Timing of IP? What is involved with the timing of the IP. If the schmuck does not have the tools needed to do the timing correctly, am I screwed?

    Default reset TDCO

What if I did the KO-ko routine to clear the current TDCO,
pedal to the metal, turn on ign(don't start eng ) wait 45sec in this state.
Turn off ign, release pedal, and wait 30 seconds. And reset the TDCO to '0'.Will , the PCM reset the timing? Do I do the KO-KO after I warmed up the engine or when it is cool?
    Thanks
