1988-1993 6.2 manual trannies?

What manuals did they put behind the 6.2's in the latest body style for the 6.2? I know the nv4500 was put behind the 6.5 later on in the 90's but I don't know when the first year that chevy replaced the sm465.

I ended up finding the information last night on a different site. Why does everybody say the gertrag (mg5) 5 speed is such a bad transmission?
