I don't think so - major consideration is there wouldn't be factory warranty remaining. IIRC, all factory crate engines have 1 year...

I see your point, but ti still seems odd. Or maybe I just not use to seeing just a new and exspensive engine pop up like that.

I have talked to the seller and the background story is legit. If I had the money, I'd buy two.
Always dreaming of buying an insurance salvage (swamped, not sunk) twin engine 38' cruiser, and swapping out the junk big block gassers in favor of a pair of water-to-air intercooled Duramax LB7s with custom ECM programming, belting out ~600hp each...makes me smile just thinking about it...

I thought about a swap myself. But the only candidate I have is not something I am willing to drop 20,000+ worth of engine and transmission into.
