6.2 sm-465 swap?

I have a 86 ex military m1008 with a very very healthy 6.2 in it (51,000 mi) but I dislike the trans...I know th-400's are good trannies but I like my manuals..I have had 5 or 6 chevy trucks with the sm-465 in them and happen to have a complete trans/transfercase/driveshaft set for a long bed chevy...but I have never heard or driven one of the 6.2's with a manual so i didnt know how well the gear spacing worked for the 6.2

The 6.2s were available with a manual. I'd look for a manual trans with an OD. The NV4500 5-speed was the best one used with the 6.5.
