Default On the road for about a week

I'll be out Friday May 8 till around the 14th or 15th. Been a while since I've been out to an event and we have the TS Outlaw event followed by Diesel Power Challenge and then I might stick around for a bit of the Buick GS Nats right away.

Carol will be answering phones and Elaine will still be processing orders so it will be business as usual with the exception of Tech calls. I'll be checking my email evenings and checking in on a regular basis. Carol will relay urgent messages and I can try to make some calls from on the road if necessary. Also if you need to locate me at any of these events, leave a number with Carol.

Enjoy your time off, JK - as a small business owner, I know how all consuming it can become. Time off is good.

    Time off?

Man I need a vacation. Out Saturday until 4am Sunday doing truck pull and eating supper at or after 10pm Sunday and Monday. Last night we managed to get to the motel by 10pm.

It wasn't a lot of physical work, but it sure takes a lot out of a guy especially when he is out past his bed time...

I hear you. There have been a number of boats from various MN locations to Green Bay, De Pere, etc. Too far for one day, too short to get a motel for the night.

Up at 6AM, loading by 7-8AM, driving until 3-4PM, unloading at 4-5PM, deadhead home and in bed by 1-2AM. About 650-750 miles total, depending on pickup and dropoff locations.

I have done this turn three times in the last two weeks...its a challenge to get it all in under the DOT 14hr max, 11 driving/3 non-driving but on duty hours.
