That machine has the LBZ engine. No head gasket issues that I am aware. That is the last engine of the non-emission era, of which would be my preference in the 2007 year model. I have one and it serves me well at 4,400 miles. Personally I am not please with a lot of the GM support but that is aside from the engine.

That LBZ powertain and body are my personal favorite for all around work trucks. I just wish they made truck stretchers as I'd like to stretch my 07 to match my 05 config...
