I am considering a new 5ver. If the GVW of the 5ver is 11660# and hitch weight is 1500#, will the hitch weight drop if I tow the 5ver around 9600#. I am ok, but close at 1500#.

Silverado 04/5 3500 crew 4x4 LB D/A 105k, replaced turbo mouthpiece, has Banks muffler, fumoto, syn all around, 75-110 in rear, 2nd fuel filter pre OEM. Tow 2011 Cougar 5ver 34 ft, about 10,000 gvw, trailer saver hitch w compresser.
