rear disk brake torques- confirmation
Hey guys-
need to replace the brake shoes/rotors on my 2001 K2500HD. I'm seeing 80 ft/lbs on the caliper slide pins (T-55 torx head) and 122 ft/lbs on the caliper mounting bracket. Does this seem correct?
Also, any recommendations on removing the slide pins? (Can't get the torx bit between the head of the bolt and the leaf springs!). My guess is to remove the caliper/mounting bracket as an assembly first, then work on getting the slide pins out (unless you can fit new shoes onto the mounting bracket without removing the caliper).....
Last question: which rotor to get: the 4.63" or 4.84" center diameter hole (mine looks closer to the 4.63").
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
