    Default 6.5TD in a 70 K10

Hello, first time poster here. I am curently putting a 93 6.5TD in a 70 K10. I just pulled the motor out of my 93 donor vehicle, and I'm trying to figure out what else I need off the truck. I'm gonna grab the fuel pump, and the auxiliary oil cooler. The radiator is junk, so I need to source another one of them. I need to figure out what of the wiring I need. I've searched around on this sight for a while now, but I can't find a wiring schematic for a 93. My Chiltons only shows a 94. Is there one around here, or is there another source for one? Is there anything else I should grab? Thanks in advance.

what tranny are you going to be running?

sounds like a sweet project. the beauty of using that 93 is that is it MFI. the DB2 will have very litte in the way of wiring. i have a hanes manual that shows some schematics for the 93

I'm running an nv3500 5 speed. I got it really cheap, and I like the gear spread.

I was looking at the engine wiring on my engine today and it looks like the injector pump has a TPS on it. Is that correct? What is it for on the 93?

i disconnected the tps on mine and it ran fine.

also, i don't think that nv3500 will do the job. it isn't designed for the torque that the 6.5 will be putting through. hate to say it, but i would sell it and go to the nv4500 (cast iron)

I would also ditch the NV3500 as a 350 VORTEC can eat one for lunch, let alone what the torque of even a mild 6.5 can do. As for teh wiring, trhere really isn't much to it for a manual. You should have a temp switch on the engine that engages the high idle and cold start advance, a 12V+ for teh fuel shut-off solonoid, and then the glow plug controller which can be hooked up and manually activated when needed.
