When I put my Lance cabover camper on my 2009 extended cab dually, it partially shields the satellite radio antenna and therefore blocks the signal much of the time. I would like to put a satellite antenna on the camper (I already run a CB antenna that way) and run the cable into the truck and to the radio. Couple of questions. How hard is it to get to the radio where the current satellite antenna plugs into? My idea is to either use a splitter to hook up both antenna cables permanently at the back of the radio or if a splitter won't work, to unplug the truck roof antenna and plug in the camper antenna when the camper is on the truck. When the camper is off, then plug in the truck roof antenna. Is either idea practical? Info from someone who has done something like this would be much appreciated.
