Default Need help identifying where oil is coming from

    Hello all,

Truck is a 2007 LBZ. 61K miles. The first picture is of the turbo inlet, looks like an oil residue is forming on top of the boot and connection. Is this normal? I know that if oil is forming on top of the boot that the same oil residue is going into the turbo, which isnt cool.

Next is my bigger concern. It is the pipe that goes from the turbo to the air to air in front of the radiator. There is quite a bit of oil on top of it, (as seen in the picture). It looks like the connection right above the pipe might be dripping down onto the pipe. Im not positive what it is though, maybe a tranny line? Thanks guys.

On another note, can I remove the fan guard (not the shroud) and leave it off in case I loose the serp belt along side the road, so I dont have to take it off then? It looks like it would make changing the belt a PITA.
