    Default LLY Mileage

It's been quite a while since I checked the unloaded highway fuel mileage on my '05 LLY (118K), so knowing I was going on a trip over the holidays, I figured this would be a good time. I normally fuel from my auxillary tank, and gallons used in that case is only a guess, so I filled up the truck tank and got on the interstate. I put the cruise control on and held a steady 75 mph (gps). RPM was 2200, engine temp was 180 degrees (45 degrees ambient), boost was a constant 4 psi, and the Edge EZ was set on #1. After 272 miles (gps), I pulled over and filled up and it took 15.5 gallons, which comes out to an average of 17.5 mpg. I thought that was pretty good. How does it compare to others ??

03 Buick Rendezvous - When you average over 80 miles per day driving around, you need one of these.
85 K-5, 6.2, SM465, Rockwell T221, 1 tons, 36's. More goodies to be installed as time and money allows.
82 K20, 6.2, SM465, NP208, stock except for bed rack, snow plow, and glow plugs are on a toggle switch. It works great for plowing!

I have an 05 SRW 2500HD crew cab. the sweet spot for my Max is 1800 rpm I have gotten as high as 21.5 and get a consistent 20.5 HWY. This truck is a stock and I have never seen any temps lower then 210 HWY unloaded. Towing Temps as high as 235 towing about 12,500 lbs. avg 11 to 11.5 mph.
