Just an FYI....the 1-1/4 ton rating was springs only. Not much else was different from the standard 1ton with the right options. The nice things about the M1028 was that it had the "right" options...as long as you only want to go 60MPH. Something to consider is that even thought the odo says VERY low miles. Most of these trucks were on a start/idle program. in other words they would be started once a week and idled for up to an hour and then shut down....this could have been done for MANY years. Also many depots that have had them sitting around for years have not done anything to prepare them for sitting. If you get one straight from Gov, expect to replace every seal and rubber part on it.
