Default Air filter to gain more power

It feels like the power of my truck is not that good. Its a 2006 Duramax LLY engine. When I did the last service they told me to replace the air filter soon. I need get good power without affecting the fuel consumption. Mostly I used to buy Chevy Duramax parts from BC Diesel website. I found some models here. Can you please help me to choose the appropriate one

    Welcome aboard!

If you've lost power, it isn't due to the air filter, unless it's well past due for replacement. The 2006+ air filter system is the best available. If a service tech suggests it needs replacement, start there. An OEM or comparable element is as good as it gets. Also note, although your engine may be an "LLY" according to the VIN (2), the 2006 model year LLY is actually a detuned LBZ in every way but the programming. Previous year LLY's are very different. Contact John Kennedy for the best economy and power options available.

Donaldson filters are the best I have used. If you cant find one local, probably a truck parts supply, Kennedy carries them now.

With the 2006-2010 trucks I keep the intake stock. The best gains are in the ECM programming. That is how I run my LBZ. Exhaust is definitely not a bad idea though. Let me know if I can help with either.

Well that answers my question. I was looking in to a cold air intake from snake river like I had on my LB7. I have a new 4" exhaust coming this week. Bye Bye cat. I hopefully that helps with MPG. My 02 LB7 was getting 12-14 hauling a 3700lb camper the 06 3500 LLy gets 10 or less doing the same.
