The mileage that your original engine has wouldn't concern me if it's not been abused. In fact, I'd rather trust it over than the quality of a questionable rebuilt engine. One question I've yet to see answered concerning a Duramax reman is "Did the engine need to be bored?" I've yet to see a cylinder bore on these engines that was worn. The cylinder bores are induction hardened at the factory. Boring them removes the hard layer.
all I know is what they say..and in todays world you cant believe anything..I was thinking when this engine is delivered to look at the cylinder

The LB7 reman injectors I installed in my 2001 GMC came from Kennedy - $2200, if I remember correctly, was the cost for 8. I also installed new injector fuel lines at a cost of about $650 and ARP studs for $650 - plus misc consumables. I'd have to dig out the receipts to be accurate on prices, but this is in the ball park. I actually wound up not installing the new water pump, so that cost isn't figured in. I also could have cleaned and re-used the fuel lines if this had been a budget squeaker - saving another $650.

I re-used the injectors and injector fuel lines when I did Lil Red, because the engine only had about 8,000 miles on it. Lil Red's heads didn't need to be decked, and I installed factory head bolts when it went back together instead of ARP - that saved $500. Glow plugs can be tested before they're re-installed. No need to replace them if they're still in good shape.
