I've got 377,000 on my 6.5l and it runs like new
I'm just over 280,000 on my 1997 GMC 6.5. It's giving me problems from time to time. It will blow out a ton of black smoke when I stomp on it and then other times it won't. It also loses power when this happens. Can anyone help me?
My old 93 k3500 dually must have the lowest milage I've seen.
54,000 original miles as of today, I'm the original owner.
93 EC Dually 6.5 Auto, 4.10, 4x4, Banks Stinger, Boost & Pyro Gauges. Cooling Mods w/ Kennedy Fan Clutch.
I've got a 94 with the original motor and 367,000 miles on it.
Mine doesn't have the most miles (only 157k), but it might have the most hours. It was a Philadelphia Fire Dept vehicle. The hour meter on the dash says 9,734 hours. At 40 mph that's 389k.
Average speed for this thing so far is 16 mph. With the traffic around here I don't think that'll go up any.

Hey Yall!!
First post here on "The Diesel Page"
I joined to try to solve some problems with my Fathers 95 K1500 with 275,000 miles!! Just started to have some real problems with it.
Just replaced a IP and looks like a lift pump may be in its future.
My father told me he has a buddy with 750,000 mile on his truck!
I will try to track down said truck to get a confirmation as to the miles and condition of the truck.
I purchased the truck new and have been the primary driver. The milage is on the original engine never been further down than for injector pumps about 3 or 4 of those. I consider this excellent since it has been hard mileage. The 4:11 gears wind it pretty high and the manual trans dosen't idle on down hill grades. On one trip to Montana we ran it at 3200 rpms for 9 hours straight with only wheel bearing problems.
95 k2500 280000 kms

I have a buddy with a 6.2 with 874000 kms on the original motor

438,000 km on my 93 1Ton Chevy Cheyenne (and counting). Don't know whether or not the engine is original.
1999 K2500 with 478640 Kms (297477 miles). Original engine, 2nd inj. pump, no oil leaks, 25 mpg.
94 Chevy 2500, single cab, 2wd, 6.5L, 235,400mi, original everything but grease/oil buildup around turbo rubber. Still runs good. 5spd Tranny scratches going into 2nd & 3rd gear but is liveable.
what sort of power is yours putting out??
95 Suburban, 2X4, high amp alternator, home made custom duel air intake, 3" fab tech lift
340,000kms ....recently bought it cheap with exhaust problems....fixed that...now it has a slight knock on acceleration and going up hills. I guess it's days are numbered.
Any ideas about the knock?....it has good oil pressure and knock goes away down hills.
I'll try slackening injector lines tomorrow and see what happens. It's difficult as the noise is barely audible unless the engine is under load.
93 K3500 NV4500 4x4 with 495,000K miles on stock engine still runs.... Sorta
