Default LB7 stock exhaust delete pipe

Ran across a place to purchase a stock exhaust muffler delete pipe at puredieselpower.com wondering if anyone out there has tried this and how loud was your rig. I figure the exhaust is already 3.5 inches and throwing off the muffler would make a big difference! No cat on my 2001 LB7. Don't mind some noise, but don't want it to drive me nuts on a long drive.

Many have done this with small gains realized. Many have gotten sick of the noise and gone to a full 4" system which gained them a noticeable improvement in performance over the 3.5" patchwork.

I hate the sound of a straight piped Dmax.
Do everyone a favor and buy Kennedy's system. Our ears will thank you, so will yours.

I did this on my 2001. Honestly, its not much louder at all. However, I don't think there is much of a performance gain.

The 4" systems I have seen sound better and reportedly increase performance.
