Easier than going the other way and having to add the clutch and associated hardware. I'd be tempted to go the route of a floor shift rather than trying to install one "on the tree" - but if you wanted that I'd swap in a column from a junkyard.

I'll admit that I'm not an automatic transmission person, so I didn't know. I had assumed since I see 4L80 and 4L80E mentioned that the 4L80 was a non-electronic version and you didn't have to mess with the TPS, controller, and all.
