    Default ignition switch question

    does anyone here know anything the ingition swithches on
    the 98 chevy k3500 6.5 diesel. my indicator light stays on
    on the shifter. the truck is in park and no key in ignition
    and the orange light is lit. also i dont have acc on the switch.
    could my ingition switch be bad.

    Yes. The indicator and trans are the first things that turn on one click out of "lock". The switch is operated by a rod from the ignition lock, I think it is adjustable, but you have to get the lower cover off.
