If i'm on a back road at 50 mph or so and no traffic I can get 37 or higher mpg, but that's ideal and rare. Towing our popup I get around 20 to 22.
All of this is when not in regen mode. If it goes into regen it will drop to around 23 mpg.
What kind of tow rating does these trucks have, and more specifically, would you feel comfortable with a 6,000 lb travel trailer out back? Going to be commuting 400 miles starting in a couple of months and this truck would seem to be ideal, assuming it could occasionally pull our rv.

    Thumbs up

I think it is rated to tow 7,700 lbs. I talked to a guy with a crew cab gas V-6 that was towing a big bumper pull camper 30 ft. + or - with two slides that had to go over 6,000 plus and he said his Colorado pulled and handled it great. I would know the diesel would pull just as good if not better all while getting much better fuel economy.

If you gotstaknow, rent one and try it. Just make sure it has a towing package. I don't know any dealers that let you test drive solo, anymore, and I doubt they'd knowingly let you hook up a 6K trailer. Maybe ask?
