    Default LB7 flare up after shifting

    After shifting to 2nd and sometimes 3rd the engine rev's up supper quick right after the shift. I had a transmission guy look at it and he described it as a flare up. He said the fuel was trimming and the transmission was not the problem. It does not do it if you are heavy in the throttle. It also does it when down shifting. It seems to do it all the time when downshifting and off and on when up shifting.

    2002 LB7 with 220K miles. Recently replaced injectors, and CP3 pump, and fuel sensor. The problem started after replacing the CP3 pump.

    Any ideas on what it might be?

    Try a fuel filter replacement.

    Is the pump stock, and where did it come from?

    A lift pump would be an excellent addition.

    The CP3 pump is stock and i got it from Oregon Fuel injector.

    Is there some benefits to the fuel pump on a stock truck, in case it doesn't solve the problem?

    Is it a Bosch reman or is it a "house" reman?

    In my opinion, every Dmax should have a lift pump.
