    Well we have (2) 94 Subs 4X4
One has 261K on the original engine and the other has 255K
One just tossed a head gasket a couple days ago so its coming down for a rebuild.
It has had amzoil in it since new and we are the scond owners so it may be good shape.
I am going to bless it and run it some more

this is all good news as my truck just turned 195K young. Looking for another 195,000...

Default 6.2l in half ton 1988

I just bought my old truck back. I bought it the first time at an auction with 140,000 miles. I ran it to work 90 miles one way for some time. I sold it the other year to a farmer with 211,000 miles. It took him 12,000 miles to bump the TV cable loose and burn the transmission. Now with 223,000 miles transmission was dropped this weekend to be rebuilt.

Have a bet with my father that the engine will not see 300,000, I hope to do it with Biodiesel I make in the shop.

320,000 on my 1994 C1500 ext cab with the original 6.5 TD. It looks like the drivetrain will outlive the rest of the truck and is probably worth more...

Thanks for posting the info about all of your high-mile 6.5's. We'll run the contest through to the end of this month, then we'll select that truck/Sub with the highest mileage, then request a digital photo of the odometer and vehicle, along with a little history.

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Default 223,000

223,000. 1994 gmc cc dually i got in 2000 at 139,000. since then i've put on the kennedy fsd cooler kit at about 150,000 located in front of the driver's side headlight. this module is crapping out now, other fixes have been the
output shaft speed sensor which did in the speedometer and put me in limp mode, batteries and brakes. all in all, i still love the old truck. gonna put new glow plugs in before winter and get the new module.

    Thumbs up 96 Sub

96 Sub 2500 6.5 with 308,000. Original engine never opened for repair. Lots of other stuff like pumps etc. But still strong no oil burn.

    Smile Close but no cigar

My 97 4x4 pickup just rolled over 300, 000 last week. Original owner, 3 or 4 Ip's, couple starters, one computer module, the rest is original. Drive to work every day. Couple trips to Chicago from Michigan. Couple trips to NC, Atlanta, PA and up north deer hunting. Still getting close to 20 mpg.

I had 267,000 on an 95 last year when it was totaled when someone ran a red light and hit me on the passanger front wheel. The good thing was the plastic on his Honda kind of exploded all over.

I am currently looking for another, 97 or newer.

    Thumbs up

I love my '96 k2500! I bought it in May '06 with 327,000 km. I'm about to turn 340,000 km. I was told it's original, I'm the 3rd owner. I just replaced the IP last month, and the truck runs and drives tight and solid. I had a 93 Dodge for 3 years right before this truck. Although it had only about 97,000km when I bought it and 147,000 when I sold it, the Chev drives way smoother! The Cummins was definately a stronger mill, but the rest of the package doesn't nearly compare. Cheers! Brett
