Default The skinny on a LMM- 2009

I've got a '01 LB7 with ~400K on it. Looking to upgrade, but not sure that I want the newest DMax model. Friend mentioned a 2009 (LMM?) with a "B motor". What is a "B motor"- if such a thing exists. Word has it those in the truck pulling competitions are looking for these.

Also noted some posts on the LMM and the regen routine required- as well as the poorer fuel mileage. Is this to say the LMMs have the anti-pollution equipment on them or doesn't that come in until 2011?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Last Duramax I owned was a 2009, bought it with 15K miles and towed the snot out of it, snow plowed all winter. The guy that bought my biz told me last week its pushing 300k miles with all original everything including dual alternators, starter, etc.

    Amazing.

    Hi,

I'm approaching 100k miles on mine, at least half of which has been towing a decent sized fifth wheel. A bit lower fuel economy than my '01 LB7, but very satisfied to have gotten in before the urea equipment was added.
