    Question Headlight adjuster rusted

    2001 GMC 2500HD

The passenger side headlight adjuster (lower outside threaded rod) has rusted to a point that it no longer locks the headlight in position. My question is, is the threaded adjuster available separately or only as part of a headlight assembly? Thx.

Pretty sure it's only available as part of the assembly. I don't see it separate on any of the diagrams, and it isn't listed on the parts lists. You could probably get a damaged assembly at a wrecking yard for not much, or free, and scavenge the screw. Or, Rockauto has new (Dorman) assy's for about 36 bucks. OEM were $200+ at last check.

Thanks DM, I ordered a set of import headlight assemblies. However, I plan to just use the adjusters. The OE headlights are still pretty nice otherwise. Jim
