Just the other day while driving down the road the whole dash board went crazy, just like that......All the gauges went haywire. radio and heater cut in and out and the truck stalled. Stuck her in neutral fired back up on the fly and okay. After shut down for 2 hours I started up...real rough start but I did notice the charging gauge was reading like 10 volts then shot up to 14.3 or so. Checked all wires for shorts none all the fuses no problems there so had to be the alternator so changed it out cleaned the batteries terminals and yep problem solved. So little tip for those of you with the Sol-D spikes in voltage caused by a faulty alternator will cause a stall condtion..
