Default Glow plug reamer? 84 6.2

Installing new GP in my 84 k10. 139k on motor I figure it's about time to replace them. So I bought a bosch set from leroy diesel 6.2/ 6.5 ones. I also got the removal tool to pull the old ones out. Pop the first one out no problem go to put the new one back in and it wont go in. It seem like the new plugs are a hair bigger than the old ones. Do I need to ream out the holes? If so is there a part number that fits the 6.2 every thing I have looked up is for the 6.6 duramax. thanks for the help

Keep it simple. All the 6.2/6.5 GP's are the same size and thread. Over time, the holes can build up some soot on the inside, and rust/grime in the threads and outside. I use a bore brush (gun bore), SS or bronze (SS lasts longer, and the strands don't break off easily). It doesn't take much to clear the junk so the plugs fit easily. Just twist it in and pull it out, once or twice. Clean the brush between holes with some solvent (#2D). This should be done with the injectors removed so you can clear the debris that may fall in, but what may fall in is no big deal (usually just soot).

If you got glow plugs for a Duramax, Im not sure those will fit.

Youd want the ACDelco 60G plugs - or an equivalent: http://a.co/4CJS5Ul

Duramax GP's will not fit. I don't think he said he was trying to fit Duramax GP's, but the info searches he did resulted in Duramax applications.

Ok, I went to Leroy Diesel and see how their site is set up. I was thinking 6.2/6.5 glow plugs are easy enough to find and if he was having issues he may be starting with the wrong part numbers.

Default got it all fixed

I used a bore brush from a 25-06 to clean out the holes then used a drill bit the same size as the GP if it needed more. It was clean sailing after that
