Default P10D1 code- L5P DMax

Just a heads up for those of you who have gotten the new L5P DMax with your 2017 P/U. I started getting code P10D1 and was experiencing constant Regens- as soon as one Regen would end, another would begin shortly after shutting down and later restarting my truck. The code would appear in my Edge diag monitor and without any intervention from me, would disappear on its own. No check engine indicator came on.

Dealership tech said that this code applied to numerous possible faults- including the DEF system. GM has new calibration s/w for both the PCM and TCM. I had my truck reflashed- so far; it isn't going into continuous Regens (again, "so far".....)

During the first 6 months, following the introduction of the Duramax in late 2000 (2001 model year), GM produced a number of ECM re-flashes to correct some problems that appeared once sufficient numbers of the trucks were in use. Narrowing/widening tolerance windows was a key area, as trucks were producing DTCs when they shouldn't or weren't producing a DTC when they should.

Your report sounds a lot like that. The newest emissions system calibration matrix apparently needed some fine tuning. You did the right thing by taking the truck in for service. Constant regens couldn't be all that helpful....
