    Default A little progress on the P400 big valve heads...

    Thought some here would be interested in the progress being made on the P400 motor I'm building, here is some pics of the heads, port work is almost done but not shown here yet... I installed the big 6.2 valves in these heads attempting to maximize flow and enhance the porting I'm working on...

    Spent some time on a CNC mill today, after installing big exhaust valves something had to be done to unshroud the valve because most all of the stock edge was gone and the valve sat in a closed hole... see the last pic..

    This is my version of unshrouding, I think this will increase flow even more than the stock angle cut...

    Now a little finish work on the ports, some coatings, different springs and these will be ready...

    Looks great.

    The cuts around the periphery of the valves will drop the compression ratio a bit.
    (1) 1995 Suburban 2500 4x4
