Default How much can I pull!

I have a 2009 2500HD duramax with allison transmission and wondering what is the towing capacity of this truck is. I have a 36' 5th wheel and looking to upgrade but can't seem to find the numbers I am looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to find the info you need on the drivers side door jamb. Axel ratings, GVW & GCVW. 36ft is a lot on a 2500. I have a 95 Automat 36ft. with air bags I can keep it level. But on my old 94 the breaks are lacking a little. I plan on a duelly in the near future. That and a Duramax.

Or you could look here http://www.trucktrend.com/features/t...s/viewall.html

If you would like to provide me with your VIN, I can check out your towing capacity on your vehicle.

I look forward to your reply via PM.

Keep it simple. Scale it, empty, and loaded for a typical trip.

    FAWR - 4670
    RAWR - 6084
    GVWR - 9200
    GCWR - 22000

Trailer axle and gross weight ratings will be printed/stamped on a tag, usually near the front/left area of the coach or hitch box. The published unloaded weight declaration for RV's are very rarely accurate. They are based on a bare unit, and don't normally include accessories or upgrades (generator, batteries, dual A/C, satellite dish, etc.), even if you purchased it with the equipment.

If any of these are overweight, it's overweight. If so, you'll have to adjust the weight distribution, or lighten it up.
