    Default Torque converter recomendation

    Howdy
4 months ago my 1996 dually ate the transmission. I had it rebuilt by a local guy that was trying to start a new business. Well long story-short version...business failed along with the second rate converter that he put in.
Some people are only alive because it's illegal to....

Any recommendations for a good converter and or change out procedure?

Sorry that this is in the place but it wont let me move it....

    Thanks in advance!!!

I had Phoenix Transmissions (located in Texas, actually) build me a custom convertor for my 700R4 several years ago. I was very impressed with their customer service and product quality.

I had my 4L80E rebuilt to HD specs and added a TC from http://www.suncoastconverters.com/ (which also rebuilt the tranny). I've been absolutely happy with the work. R&R on the tranny was done by nearby Webb's Transmissions (which used to own Suncoast).
