Thumbs up I am now undoubtably impressed with Rotella

Hi guys, I am finally getting around to swapping out my injectors on my 02. This is my first time getting this deep into the engine and have run Rotella since my first 500 mile oil change. We'll I cracked open the valve cover today and couldn't believe it, 330,000 miles and the inside of this engine looks just as it did from day 1. Kudos to Shell!!

Not to take anything away from Rotella, but it seems that unless they are severely neglected sludge and buildup are not issues with the Dmax at all. The one that I used for my engine build had 420k on it and was not very well cared for. It was clean as a whistle inside as well.

I run Mobil Delvac 1 5w40 as a nearly universal oil here and dump the Dmax at 10k without concern. Conventional oils should also be good that long, but to me that is a stretch.
