700R4 Thottle Valve Bracket

The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission uses a TV (Throttle Valve) cable to help it manage shift-scheduling and hydraulic clutch-apply pressures as a function of throttle angle. The engine end of this cable attaches to a TV bracket that allows for some degree of adjustability or calibration. Unfortunately, that bracket was discontinued some time ago and is no longer available from GM. With salvage yard brackets made for the 6.2L diesel impossible to locate, 6.2L/6.5L owners today have few options when preparing for a custom 700 installation. The photos and drawing of an original factory bracket shown here solve that problem by making it possible for you to produce your own bracket. Now available to subscribers in the Member's Area.
