    Default MAX HP & FT/lbs

Quick question: Out of curiousity what is the most HP or torque that you quy's have heard of someone getting out of a 6.5L TD? Are any of you guys over 350HP, or is that just way off the radar? Not that I'm planning a huge buildup or anything. I just haven't heard anything other than the factory rated 190HP. Thanks for any input

Peninsular sells 400 HP models in a box.

Want more than that? Check THIS out. (or THIS if you have dial up) Those Euro's are nuts. Twin turbos AND twin pumps!

VERY big issue. Problem is, most folks try big mods with stock cooling, then complain about that POS so and so.... Keep temps under control and you can get away with just about anything. It's always been that way. "Marine" parts generally do mean more power, but the designers assume your cooling system is measured in acre/feet, or square miles, not gallons or liters.

WOW! I can't imagine 2 IP's & twin turbos! That was really cool thanks. It seams like (aside from small things) that cooling and compression are the 2 limiting factors on a 6.5L. I hope this is not the last of the reply's to this tread Keep em' coming!

Compression ratios and heat come hand in hand.

I saw where he plumbed the h2o injection. I did not see a thermostat in his coolant crossover pipe. I would venture to guess that his setup is making around 700hp and 1400 ft/lb of trq. From the sound of his run, I believe he is spinning well past 3200 rpms. Probably 5000 rpm or more.

The ultimate power display from a 6.5L. I want one too.......
