    Default 98 C2500 4L80E No reverse

Truck was shifting great no problems. 215000 miles. Went to back up and had no reverse. Fluid level is good. Has all forward gears including overdrive, but now it shifts pretty hard. Where should I begin?

Ive dropped the pan, removed the valve body and removed the reverse servo cover and piston. I do not see anything out of the ordinary thus far. Any input from all you more experienced out there would be greatly appreciated.

I found the #1 check ball is missing. I am pretty certain I did not lose it. I dont understand though. the #1 Check ball is for the overrun clutch. Whats going on here?

Found check ball under valve body gasket and spacer inside of valve body itself...wierd because I can set the ball in the #1 hole and it does not fall through. Im still not understanding what the heck is going on here.
