    Default LB7 Normal Smoke Amount

    Hi, I just got an '02 Silverado 3500 w/ 103k miles.
I've read through all the posts about bad injectors and the one major question I have left is this:

    How much smoke is normal?

Should there be no smoke at all? Should there be a little smoke? What color should it be?

    Welcome aboard!

If it's stock and healthy, it shouldn't smoke.

Some neglected maintenance can cause minor smoke under some conditions. If it's smoking grey/white at idle, then injectors are a liklihood. It could be something else, but it should be properly diagnosed. Keep an eye on your engine oil level and pressure.
