Default Still awesome !

What a great little big truck.
It will pretty much pull anything that a 1500 will, even if it isn't supposed to.
The only real difference I see is that you just can't fit as much into the bed or cabin as you can in a full size truck.
But that isn't much to give up when your mostly running around town and such.
I'm glad it get's such awesome mpg's. Because Diesel just jumped from around $ 369. or $3.79 right up to $ 409 per gallon.
Go Figure !

That's super! Still boring?

$4.09 for #2? You move to CA, or something? Moonbeam just upped the fuel taxes, again. You might think we'd get used to it (not).

Red face

Whoop's I hope I don't give them any ideas.
I meant $2.79 for gas and $3.09 for a gallon if diesel. Diesel jumped about 40 cents in the last 2 or 3 months. Gas jumped around 30 cents per gallon.
Gee just in time for "Memorial Day" Go figure ? When everyone will be traveling.
What a coincidence !
Heck it probably is $4.09 per gallon in California !

Fuel prices are the future traders speculating on all the candles going up in the middle east

And isn't it about time for a refinery accident?

Too bad they no longer build an SUV on the same platform...

Running around town/city driving 27.5 mpg .
And running 70 mph on the highway 32 to 34 mpg.
If i'm on a back road at 50 mph or so and no traffic I can get 37 or higher mpg, but that's ideal and rare. Towing our popup I get around 20 to 22.
All of this is when not in regen mode. If it goes into regen it will drop to around 23 mpg.

What kind of tow rating does these trucks have, and more specifically, would you feel comfortable with a 6,000 lb travel trailer out back? Going to be commuting 400 miles starting in a couple of months and this truck would seem to be ideal, assuming it could occasionally pull our rv.

Bill

Thumbs up

I think it is rated to tow 7,700 lbs. I talked to a guy with a crew cab gas V-6 that was towing a big bumper pull camper 30 ft. + or - with two slides that had to go over 6,000 plus and he said his Colorado pulled and handled it great. I would know the diesel would pull just as good if not better all while getting much better fuel economy.

If you gotstaknow, rent one and try it. Just make sure it has a towing package. I don't know any dealers that let you test drive solo, anymore, and I doubt they'd knowingly let you hook up a 6K trailer. Maybe ask?
