    Default Need Help

I have a 2002 2500HD 6.6 Turbo. 268,000 miles. Well maintained. Injectors replaced at 85,000 under warranty. Pump changed 2 years ago. I have now gone from a bit over 15mpg to 13.47mpg. Idle is a bit rough and white smoke from exhause when idling. Could it be anything other than injectors and is there a way to determine which injector might be bad? Thanks for any help and I wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving!

Simple, blunt, and to the point: Injectors are the most likely cause.

This is the first Silverado I have ever owned. Prior to that was my 1974 Chevy 1/2 Ton which I still have! I was unaware injectors have to be replaced. Wish they were like spark plugs!

Recommended injector replacement is every 100 anyway. Get Bosch standard pressure injectors - they won't do you wrong.

After almost 200k it's hard to argue that you need supporting items like lift pump and filters etc, but I still say ounce of prevention= pound of cure.

Fresh stock injectors, fresh supply lines, and a pr of thermostats would be my minimum. All kept in stock here at competitive prices.
